IFAD to expand operations in Vietnam

(VOVworld) – President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Kanayo Nwanze has described Vietnam’s achievements in poverty reduction and rural development as a role model for developing nations in Africa.

At last week’s reception for Vietnamese ambassador to Italy Cao Chinh Thien who is Vietnam’s permanent representative to IFAD, Nwanze said he was impressed with Vietnam’s development in recent years.
Ambassador Thien described Vietnam’s achievements in rural development and poverty reduction and pledged to promote relations between ASEAN and IFAD.
