(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a conference to review the programs on vocational training for rural workers. Thanks to the government’s project on vocational training until 2020, more than 660,000 people in rural areas have received job training over the past 3 years, achieving 50% of the plan. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat addressed the conference: “We now have 700 vocational training establishments and about 30,000 agricultural extension officials. Each year, billions of dong from the central and local budget has been spent on developing models, applying science and technology and training for farmers. Over the next two years, we aim to upgrade agricultural extension centres into job training centres for farmers”.
