Indian Prime Minister receives Vietnam Foreign Minister

(VOVworld) – Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh is on an official visit to India during which he co-chaired the 15th session of the Joint Committee between the two countries. During a courtesy visit to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Minister Minh said that Vietnam attaches great importance to its strategic partnership with India and supports India’s Look East Policy.

Vietnam appreciates India’s role in maintaining peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world. The Indian Prime Minister said India considers Vietnam a pillar of its Look East Policy and is committed to consolidating its strategic partnership with the country. He called on both countries to work more closely together in the fields of economics, security, defense, science and technology, education and training.

Marking the occasion, Minister Minh delivered a speech at the Indian Council on World Affairs.
