Security forces will be deployed at key public places, the court, the General Election Commission (KPU), the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), and some embassies.

An Indonesian election was held on April 17 to select the president, vice presidents, and more than 20,000 local and national lawmakers. The presidential race pit incumbent President Joko Widodo and retired general Prabowo Subianto. The General Election Commission said last month that Widodo won. Subianto rejected the result, and filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court.
