VOV President Nguyen The Ky told the Indonesian ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi in Hanoi on Thursday. VOV President Nguyen The Ky said VOV currently broadcasts in a total of 13 languages, including the Indonesian language. The opening of a VOV bureau in Indonesia will help further spread information on bilateral ties and outstanding activities of the ASEAN organisation. He said: “I praise the development of our bilateral ties and Indonesia's role in Southeast Asia. VOV has gained the approval of the Prime Minister to open a VOV bureau in Indonesia. I expected the Indonesian embassy and your Excellency to further strengthen connectivity and support the early opening of VOV’s representative office in Indonesia.”

Ambassador Ibnu Hadi underscored the importance of VOV in promoting bilateral ties saying the opening of a VOV representative office in Jakarta is an advancement in bilateral ties:  “Opening the bureau in Indonesia is a positive move, reflecting fine development in bilateral ties. I hope that the Indonesian broadcaster RRI will follow suit to open rep offices in other countries, including Vietnam.”

The Ambassador pledged to support VOV's opening of a bureau in Indonesia.
