(VOVworld) - More than 100 professional and amateur performers from local art troupes, and foreign embassies and cultural centers joined the Welcome 2015 art performance on Friday in Hanoi.

They showed off folk dances and songs and musical performances from Indonesia, Russia, Japan, Palestine, and Vietnam celebrating the Lunar New Year (Tet), Vietnam’s largest holiday, during the night. The event saw the presence of Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Vu Xuan Hong, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son, and representatives from embassies and international and non-governmental organizations in the city. Mr. Son said the gathering aimed at honoring of international “friends” who have been supporting the administration and people of Hanoi, and strengthening the friendship between Hanoians and friends across the globe.
