(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Tuesday that "investing in social housing is investing in the development of society and the country", which he called one of the key tasks of the 2025-2030 period and a "double lever" to ensure social security, boost growth, and create jobs as well as develop a healthy and sustainable real estate market.

Prime Minister Chinh, who heads the Central Steering Committee on Housing Policy and the Real Estate Market, chaired the 3rd meeting of the Steering Committee on Tuesday in Hanoi.
The Party, State, National Assembly, and Government have been gradually removing difficulties in institutions, laws, capital sources, land, and administrative procedures to improve the supply of social housing, especially for low-income earners and workers, he said.
“All have an equal access. This is a very humane policy. For housing and real estate policies to be healthy, sustainable, and effective, all relevant entities must make contributions and be responsible, with the spirit of a facilitating State, pioneering enterprises, public and private partnership, a prosperous country, and happy people,” according to PM Chinh.

As part of the 1 million social housing apartments project nationwide, 696 projects of building more than 637,000 apartments have been implemented, reaching 60% of the set target.
