Iran's General killed in airport attack
(VOVWORLD) - Iraqi television reported Friday that General Qassem Soleimani, head of Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC's) Quds Force, was killed by a US air attack at Baghdad's international airport.

Reuters quoted two unnamed US officials who claimed US responsibility for attacks on two Iranian targets in Baghdad.
An Iraqi military spokesman said rockets blasted vehicles at Baghdad airport, killing 8 people, including important military leaders.
Thousands of protesters raided and vandalized the US Embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday following US air strikes on Sunday on an Iranian-backed militant group. US President Donald Trump blamed Iran for the incident and said Tehran will have to suffer the consequences. Iran denied responsibility.
