Israeli aircraft strike Gaza militants' facilities in response to rocket firing

(VOVWORLD) - Israeli warplanes attacked facilities that belong to militants of the Islamic Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip early Sunday in response to rockets fired from the coastal enclave into the Jewish state hours earlier.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that three rockets were fired from Gaza at Israeli towns adding that all three rockets were intercepted mid-air by the Iron Dome Aerial Defense System.

Three people were slightly injured in the town of Sderot. No one has claimed responsibility for the three rockets fired into southern Israel, which triggered the Israeli airstrikes. Meanwhile, Israel holds Hamas responsible for all rocket fired from Gaza.
