The Japanese government said Tuesday that the plan to hold a trilateral summit of leaders from Japan, China, and South Korea is unchanged by South Korean President Park Geun-hye’s possibility to step down before her term ends.
Akiba told reporters that Japan and China will continue their coordination of the trilateral summit.  Akiba also held talks with Kong Xuanyou, China's assistant foreign minister, on a number of bilateral and regional issues, including North Korea.
