Japan hails success of Vietnam’s Party Congress

(VOVworld) – Japanese experts spoke highly of the success of Vietnam’s 12th National Party Congress. Professor Furuta Motoo from Tokyo University, Japan said the Congress continues the diplomatic policy of the previous one but has developed in terms of partners and subjects.

He said Vietnam’s diplomatic policy was flexible, which will contribute to peace and stability in the region and the world. Professor Furuta said the Communist Party of Vietnam strongly respects democracy. The report released at the 12th Party Congress highlights that in order to implement democracy in society, the foremost step is to assure democracy in the Party. He added the re-election of Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong shows the success of stability. Professor Furuta expressed his belief that the diplomatic policy worked out at the recent Congress would help promote Vietnamese-Japanese ties.
