Japan helps Vietnam in e-government

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s Government Office and Japan’s Cabinet Office and Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in implementing e-government in Vietnam.

Vietnamese Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung and Japanese Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Masatoshi Ishida signed the MoU in Tokyo on Wednesday. Under the MoU, both sides will share experience in building legal framework and mechanism for e-government and enhance capacity of ministries in charge of managing information and using the e-government’s info system. Both sides will also consider promoting cooperation by sending experts and organizing meetings and training workshops.

During his working visit to Japan this week, Minister Dung met with the Japanese Chief of Cabinet Office, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, and Deputy Foreign Minister.
