Japan, US, Philippines hold first trilateral maritime talks
(VOVWORLD) -Japan, the United States, and the Philippines held their first discussion of regional maritime issues in Tokyo on Tuesday. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to upholding international law as reflected in the 1982 Un Convention on the Law of the Sea.
The three countries also discussed opportunities to strengthen future trilateral cooperation and engage in maritime cooperative activities, combined trainings, maritime law enforcement, and coast guard capacity building with other partners.
