Kanagawa University professor: The Japanese government respects relations with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has begun his trip to Southeast Asia. He visits Indonesia from April 29 to 30, Vietnam from April 30 to May 1 and Thailand from May 1 to 2.

In an interview of Vietnam News Agency in Tokyo about the trip, Professor Dr Mie Oba from Kanagawa University said the Japanese government respects Japan’s relations with Vietnam, as reflected in Japan’s support in goods and national defense materials as well as bilateral maritime cooperation.

Ms Oba said the bilateral ties brings mutual benefits. Vietnam holds its important relations with Japan for positive balance between power houses while strengthening relations with Vietnam brings major advantages to Japan.
