The project, launched by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, is expected to conclude by 2020 at a cost of 5.5 million USD. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Centre, said: “Kien Trung Pavilion is one of 5 most important structures of the Hue Royal Palace complex. The project will be another step of the renovation and preservation of Hue’s cultural heritages”.

The Kien Trung Pavilion was built in the early 20th century and was damaged in 1946. This was the place where the two last Kings of Vietnam lived and worked.
