Lai Chau hosts northern mountainous ethnic product festival
(VOVWORLD) -The northern mountainous ethnic minority product festival and trade connection event is underway until Sunday in Lai Chau province, highlighting hundreds of OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, clean agricultural products, and precious medicinal herbs.
On display are also exquisite handicrafts and ethnic dishes like five-color sticky rice, grilled stream fish, and smoked meat.
The festival was organized on the largest scale ever with the participation of neighboring provinces, according to Vuong The Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lai Chau province.
“We have attracted 63 units from the northern mountainous provinces and other provinces. Displayed in 74 booths, the goods are products unique to the regions. This is an encouragement for the activities of organizations, businesses, and business households so that agricultural products of ethnic minorities in and outside a province are promoted and introduced to tourists nationwide,” Man added.
