(VOVworld) – The Lao embassy in Hanoi held Laos’ traditional Bunpimay festival on Friday.

In her address, Vice-chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong said the traditional friendship and special solidarity are the two countries’ biggest asset, which should be nurtured by future generations. She said Vietnam is willing to work closely with Laos in fostering bilateral ties and developing the ASEAN Community for regional and global peace, stability, cooperation, and development. She said: “We are proud of the Vietnam-Laos relations, which have been nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and generations of the two countries’ leaders. Every of Vietnam’s victory is associated with the solidarity and support of the Lao Party, state, and people.”
