Major General Quang said: “Google has set up about 70 representative offices and Facebook has 80 representative offices in countries all over the world.  In Southeast Asia, Google and Facebook have offices in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In the revised Law on Tax Management, Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance urges foreign service providers like Google and Facebook to open their official representative offices in Vietnam.”

Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung said the promulgation of the Law on Cyber Security is essential and that the Vietnamese government has issued a decree on detailed implementation of the law, which will take effect from January 1, 2019.
