LEGO vows to speed up 1 billion USD project in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Vice President of the LEGO Group Preben Elnef said on Monday that the Danish toy manufacturer will accelerate the construction of its 1 billion USD factory in the southern province of Binh Duong as committed.

During a meeting with Binh Duong provincical leaders, Elnef spoke highly of the dynamic and professional investment climate in Binh Duong, an industrial hub in southern Vietnam, noting that LEGO is also stepping up personnel recruitment in Vietnam to serve its project.
Work on the factory is scheduled to begin this year, and it will become operational in 2024.
The sixth LEGO factory in the world, also the second in Asia, is expected to help this firm expand its global supply chain and reduce environmental impact by long-haul transportation.
The plant is hoped to generate 4,000 jobs in the next 15 years.
