(VOVWORLD) - Voters in mountain and border areas in Nghe An, Quang Binh and Kien Giang province will go for early election on Friday.
Preparations are all set for the election of the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils of the 2021-2026 tenure.
Ms Cụt Thị Khoa in Ha Son hamlet, Nghe An province said, 'We’re waiting for the election. We have the right to elect our representatives for the NA and People’s Council. We’re very happy.'
'I learned about the election and biography of candidates through various outlets. It’s my honor to cast the ballot to exercise my right as a citizen,' said Mr. Cụt Văn Long, a resident in Ha Son.
Early election will be held in Ky Son, Tuong Duong and Con Cuong mountain border districts in Nghe An province.
Quang Binh province has finished preparing for early election in 17 constituencies. Nguyen Huu Hong, Vice Chairman of Bo Trach district’s People’s Committee, said, 'We have finalized preparations for the election. As the number of voters is large, we will strengthen COVID-19 prevention measures.'
As COVID-19 becomes more complicated, the National Election Council has allowed early elections to be held on Saturday in some constituencies in Bac Ninh city, Tu Son township, Tien Du and Gia Binh district.
