Major oil producers fail to reach deal on output limit

(VOVworld) - The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and nations outside the group failed to reach an accord on limiting output.

OPEC members said they need to reach an agreement inside the group first, expected to be at this upcoming meeting in June and will invite other producers to participate in later on. Talks between major oil producers excepted for Iran were held in Doha, Qatar, on the possibility of limiting supplies to increase prices.
