(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Transport began the operation of an expanded wing of Noi Bai international airport, Nhat Tan bridge and a connection road between them. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, former Party leader Le Kha Phieu and former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An cut the ribbon to open the facilities.

Speaking at the event on Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the Ministry of Transport, investors and local authorities for completing the construction work ahead of time with quality ensured. He called for cooperation between relevant agencies in efficient operation of the facilities to create a positive image about Vietnam’s aviation service. He thanked the Japanese government and people in providing Official Development Assistance fund for the projects, which shorten travel time between Hanoi and the airport.
