Malaysia ready to resume search for MH370

(VOVWORLD) - Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke on Sunday announced that Kuala Lumpur might resume the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 if companies make a reasonable and trustworthy proposal.

Mr. Loke told reporters on the 5th anniversary of the plane’s disappearance that Malaysia will only pay the search companies if they locate the aircraft. Last year, Malaysia offered to pay Ocean Infinity 70 million USD under a “no cure, no fee” deal, but the firm failed to find the airplane after a three-month search. Ocean Infinity has proposed another search using more advanced technology.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 vanished on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014, with 239 people aboard.
