While Myanmar defeated U23 Philippines 3-2 after a spectacular chase, U23 Indonesia had an easy game against U23 Timor Leste with a 4-1 victory.

Those results made U23 Myanmar the leader of Group A with six points after two games, followed by U23 Philippines with four points after three games. Vietnam, having already played two matches, had four points and stood third.

Meanwhile women’s football Group B continued at Cam Pha Stadium in Quang Ninh province, where Thailand defeated Singapore 3-0 and Myanmar beat Laos by the same score.

Seven women’s teams are competing for this year's SEA Games crown, divided into two groups. Vietnam, Philippines, and Cambodia are in Group A, and Thailand, Singapore, Laos, and Myanmar make up Group B.

Teams will play in a round-robin format in the group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
