More than 300 children from social centers participated in the Mid-Autumn program at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, including coloring, drawing, and making and decorating paper lanterns.

A gala night was organized at the municipal Children’s House to raise social awareness and responsibility for child protection, child care, and education.

On Wednesday, the People’s Committee of Dak Song district, Dak Nong province, organized a Mid-Autumn program for local pre-school children and primary students in difficult  circumstances.

Pham Thi Suy, one of the participants, said: “Our children are very glad to receive a gift today, because we’re in difficult circumstances. We hope to receive more support in the future so that our children can enjoy happy Mid-Autumn Festivals.”

On Tuesday and Wednesday, a delegation of the Lam Dong province People’s Committee and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs visited social centers and orphans’ villages and give the local children gifts.

Similar programs were held for disadvantaged children in remote areas of Mekong Delta. The Hau Giang Youth Union and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs organized a Mid-Autumn feast for 400 disadvantaged children in Chau Thanh district.

In Bac Lieu province, 145 gift sets were delivered to disadvantaged children.
