(VOVworld) - Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has been named Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.

Attending the ceremony to announce the Politburo’s decision in HCMC on Friday was Dinh The Huynh, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat.

Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee's Organizational Commission, publicized the Politburo’s appointment decision.

Vo Van Thuong will take the post of head of the Central Party Committee's Commission for Education and Communications.
