Cao Dinh Thuong, a NA deputy of Phu Tho province, raised an issue that many businesses pollute the environment due to poor waste treatment technology and asked about possible solutions.

Minister Tran Hong Ha said: "Many businesses don’t have the capacity to manage and assess environmental impacts. We will devise measures to help them fix this problem. Businesses that fail to meet the requirements will be forced to close."

Minister Ha also talked about measures to deal with direct discharges into the environment from industrial zones, dust and air pollution in big cities, and land management in special administrative-economic zones.

The same day, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung answered queries about the labor market in Vietnam, job generation, and labor export. Solutions to improve vocational training, protect children, and prevent child abuse and violence against children were also mentioned at the National Assembly Q&A session on Tuesday.
