According to the finding, the moat might be 50 or 60 meters wide and 6.8 to 7.2 meters deep. In a 7,000 square meter excavation site, archeologists also found rectangular bricks, red tiles and ceramic items dating back from the Ly Dynasty (1009- 1225) to the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945)

The Ho Dynasty Citadel was Vietnam’s capital under the Ho Dynasty (1400-1407). It is the only citadel in the country built entirely of stone that has remained nearly intact throughout the nation’s history. It was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in 2011.
