Organized by the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of the Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Peoples’ Committee of Quang Tri province, the exhibition displays 150 documents including ancient bibliography, royal documents of the Nguyen Dynasty, maps of the West, Vietnam, and China, and documentary photos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

They are solid evidences of Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) thereby refuting allegations that distort history, and unreasonable claims of sovereignty over the two archipelagos and other seas and islands in the East Sea.

The exhibition contributes to affirming that Vietnam has established its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos very early by peaceful means. Vietnamese has legally exercised and defended its sovereignty throughout feudal dynasties and contemporary history.
