More than 340 Vietnamese return home from Taiwan (China)

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese and Taiwanese authorities on Friday repatriated more than 340 Vietnamese citizens stranded in Taiwan due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The flight is conducted in line with State regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

The passengers on a Vietnam Airlines flight included children under the age of 18, the elderly, people with medical issues, pregnant women, university students, stranded tourists, and people whose visas had expired but could not leave the country.

All of them had their body temperature checked prior to boarding and were taken to quarantine camps upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport.
