More Vietnamese nurses sent to Japan

(VOVWORLD) - More than 200 student nurses have been sent to Japan to work under the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, bringing to 1,900 the total number of Vietnamese nurses sent to work in Japan since 2012.

Tran Thi Van Ha of the Department of Overseas Labor of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs said, “They will have 2 months to get accustomed to Japan before they begin working for an intern’s salary of 1,500-1,700 USD per month. Once they earn a Japanese certificate, their salary will be higher.”

The students are sponsored for a year of free language training and accommodation by the two Governments.
