Morrison in New Zealand for talks

(VOVWORLD) - The leaders of Australia and New Zealand are set to hold their first face-to-face talks since the coronavirus pandemic began, 
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison arrived on Sunday in Queenstown, a resort town in New Zealand, for a 2-day visit and talks with his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern to discuss issues of mutual concern and bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Scott Morrison met New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern before the two leaders participate in an annual talks on Monday. 
The Australian Prime Minister's visit takes place at a time when the two countries have contained the COVID-19 pandemic but their economies are suffering great losses from the pandemic. 
Post-COVID-19-cooperation, solutions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and vaccine supply for island countries in southern Pacific will be the focus of the two leaders' talks, according to media sources of the two countries. 
Issues relating to the two countries' relations with China might also be on the agenda of the two Prime Ministers' talks.
