A Workshop on the Leadership of ASEAN in 2014 was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and the ASEAN Secretariat in collaboration with the US Government-funded ASEAN- US Technical Assistance and Training Facility. The workshop was held Thursday in Nay pyi Taw to help Myanmar prepare for the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2014. At the opening ceremony, Kyaw U Thant, Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, praised the exchanging of ideas between former ASEAN Chairmen and the ASEAN Secretariat and stressed that the workshop will help Myanmar uphold ASEAN development and connection towards 2015 ASEAN integration.
