At a meeting in Hanoi on Monday on the occasion of the Great National Unity Day (November 18) and Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20), he called on the deputies to actively engage in fine tuning the legal system and monitoring the implementation of policies on ethnic minority affairs, religion, education, and technology in order to boost socio-economy in ethnic and mountainous areas.

“National Assembly deputies should further promote their role and prestige to unite people, strengthen public trust and consensus in the Party and State, work hard to develop the economy, build a prosperous and happy life, and contribute to the Party and people toward the goal of rich people, powerful country, democracy, justice and civilization," said Chairman Hue.
He urged the deputies to uphold their sense of responsibility, closely followed the action plan, keep their promises to voters and people, and constantly improve their capacity in all aspects.
They should actively contribute their efforts, wisdom and responsibility to the National Assembly’s work so that the National Assembly can operate with higher quality, democracy, creativity, decisiveness and practicality, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, said Mr. Hue.
