On this occasion, Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong sent a congratulatory letter to the newspaper’s cadres, reporters, editors, staff, contributors, and readers. In the letter, Mr. Trong expressed his belief that the newspaper will continue to go ahead with strong reform to disseminate Party guidelines, State policies, and information on the National Assembly.

Addressing the ceremony, National Assembly Secretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc said: “The People’s Representative newspaper must trigger debates, provide information on guidelines and policies mentioned in the Party’s Resolutions and important projects during the law making process,  and help legislators in decision making. The newspaper’s other role is to create consensus to effectively implement policies to boost national socio-economic development.”
