NA Chairwoman works with Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has attended a ceremony to mark Vietnam Science and Technology Day and the 43rd anniversary of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Addressing the event in Hanoi on Thursday, Ms. Ngan called for further contributions from the Academy towards national industrialization and modernization amid the 4th Industrial Revolution. She said: “We need to have a market and the State’s incentives so that our studies will be widely applied in daily life and production. For example, we are able to produce environmental monitoring equipment. But is it good enough for use? The National Assembly and the government need to be more receptive to scientists’ recommendations.”
The top legislator also asked the Academy of Science and Technology to strengthen cooperation with foreign partners.
