(VOVworld) - National Assembly Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu met on Tuesday with 82 pupils who have made their way to the final round of a competition on Vietnam’s history and culture called “Proud Vietnam”.

He hailed the Central Youth Union and the Ministry of Education and Training for organizing the event which is aimed at realizing the Party and State’s guidelines of improving Vietnamese people’s awareness of the importance of preserving national historical and cultural values, especially in the new development period. He added this would promote Vietnam’s national great unity as well to further develop its inner strength. Mr. Luu asked the pupils to further study and enrich their knowledge to contribute to national development in the future.
