The provincial People’s Committee Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho hailed local economic growth of over 6.7% with major contribution by the tourism sector. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan encouraged the provincial development orientation towards cultural heritages and environmentally eco-system. “Hue City has been recognized as an ASEAN sustainable city. It has been the first city in Vietnam to win the title of Green City by the World Nature Preservation Foundation. The government has approved its plan to become a festival city in recognition of its efforts towards green and sustainable growth,” said Ms. Ngan.
