NA Standing Committee convenes 38th session

(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee began its 4-day meeting in Hanoi on Monday to discuss revisions to several laws, including the Law on Enterprises, the Investment Law, and the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools.

The Committee will examine oversight work regarding citizens’ denunciations and complaints which have been sent to the NA this year, and evaluate the implementation of Vietnam’s socio-economic development plan and state budget for 2019.

Law makers will debate the socio-economic development plan, state budget estimate, state budget allocation plan for next year, and a report on the feasibility study of Long Thanh airport in the southern province of Dong Nai.

Also high on the agenda is a resolution approving a Supplementary Treaty to the 1985 Treaty on the Delimitation of National Boundaries and the 2005 Supplementary Treaty between Vietnam and Cambodia and the Protocol on land border demarcation and marker planting between the two nations.
