NA to ratify EVFTA shortly
(VOVWORLD) - The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is expected to be ratified by the National Assembly (NA) next Monday, the first day of the NA’s mid-year session.
Luong Hoang Thai, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Multilateral Trade Policy Department, said the ratification documents were completed at the beginning of the year and submitted to the Government for consideration.
The deal was ratified by the European Parliament in February and approved by the European Council one month later, completing the final legal procedure in the EU’s internal ratification process.
