(VOVworld)- On Thursday, National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien held a meeting with Kien Giang’s leaders to discuss the province’s socio-economic situation in 2016 and directions for 2017.

In his address, Mr. Hien asked the province to focus on human resource development to meet the demands of socio-economic development. He urged the province to tap its potential in the marine economy, agricultural production, fisheries, tourism, and other services. Hien acknowledged the province’s proposals for building more irrigation systems to regulate water for production and daily use and in response to climate change.
