NA Vice Chairman receives Chinese guests

(VOVworld) - National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu expressed his hope for stronger cooperation between the Vietnam Peace Committee (VPC) and the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) for mutual benefit. Mr. Luu, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam Peace Committee, told Deputy Secretary General Tao Tao in Hanoi on Wednesday that Vietnam is keen to work with China to continuously foster their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. He said that maritime issues, differences and disputes, should be negotiated and settled peacefully and in line with international law as well as the agreements reached by both countries’ senior leaders. Luu expressed his wish that the two committees, with their peace keeping mission, would play a constructive role in nurturing bilateral ties.

Both sides had talks on realizing agreements reached between the two countries’ Party and government leaders.

The Chinese delegation was also received by Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Thi Hoang Van and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Bui Hong Phuc.
