At a reception in Hanoi yesterday for WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific Shin Young-soo, Mrs. Phong hailed bilateral cooperation over the past 40 years, particularly in epidemics prevention, health insurance, policy consultation, and technical assistance.
She said that in the near future, the Vietnamese National Assembly will improve the quality of legislation, supervision, and decision-making on key issues in public health care. Phong urged the WHO to provide Vietnam timely global and regional health information so the Vietnamese Government can lay out appropriate solutions.
