According to government report, after 5 years of implementing the Law on Gender Equality, some results have been obtained. They included the index on the number of people finding new jobs, the rate of pregnant women having access to health care and prevention of HIV infection from mother to child, and recorded that 100% of officials have been trained in gender equality and women’s advancement.

Members of the Committee suggested the government should review targets and indexes on the National Strategy on Gender Equality from 2011 – 2020, integrate gender issues on legal documents and the action programs of ministries, sectors, and localities.

Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, reported on the implementation of commitments made at the question and answer session at the National Assembly Standing Committee’s 10th meeting and the implementation of the resolution on labor export supervision.
