(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan paid a courtesy visit to the Swedish Crown Princess Victory Alice Desiree in Stockholm on Friday, as part of her ongoing official visit to Sweden.

Mr. Ngan thanked the Swedish royal family, government, and people for their assistance for Vietnam, especially the non-refundable aid worth more than 3 billion USD to help train Vietnamese experts, engineers, and doctors. She expected that Sweden continues to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and integrate into the local community.

Sweden’s crown princess applauded Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements such as poverty reduction. She expressed her belief that the Sweden-Vietnam relations will continue to flourish, bringing practical benefits for the two peoples.

On the same day, the top legislator met Mayor of Stockholm Eva Louis Erlandsson Slorach. Ms. Ngan said Vietnam wants to learn Sweden’s development experience, including socio-economic development and issues related to environmental protection and sustainable growth.

The Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman visited Ericson group, the smart city of Hammarby Sjostad, and Sweco group.

Later on Friday, the top legislator extended her condolence to the Speaker of Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin over the causalities of the truck terror attack in downtown Stockholm.
