A hoisting flag ceremony to mark the 69th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day
(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Consulate General in San Francisco, California, hosted a flag ceremony to mark the 69th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2nd. Delegates toasted, wishing for fine Vietnam-US relations and a closer sister city relationship between San Francisco and Ho Chi Minh City. Charlotte Mailliard Schultz, Chief of Protocol for the State of California, gave Consul General Nguyen Ba Hung a statement from the city and county of San Francisco signed by Mayor Edwin Lee on September 2, 1949, which is now observed as Vietnam-US Friendship Heritage Day.
