Dr Tran Dac Phu is a senior consultant to the Ministry of Health : “The pandemic has been brought under control domestically. We need to strengthen our prevention against the external coronavirus intervention. Timing to allow foreigners to enter Vietnam depends on the world pandemic situation.”

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said there will be instruction for the repatriation of Vietnamese stranded overseas: ”We are under increasing pressure from the incoming foreign experts and Vietnamese citizens returning home. We continue to recommend Vietnamese citizens to stay where they are and we only support those who expire their work permission. Our repatriation criteria will change. Students should complete their studies before going back home. Foreign experts on work visits, tourism or family visits stranded for a long time will be prioritized for repatriation.”
