(VOVworld) – Activities are taking place nationwide to mark the 68th anniversary of Vietnam’s War Martyrs and Invalids Day on July 27th. President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan burned incense on Tuesday to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. He also burned incense at the Truong Bon National Relic Site to commemorate the youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives in 1968 during the war against the US. Also on Tuesday, he visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers in Thuong Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province.

On this occasion, Hanoi’s districts have mobilized 500,000 USD to repair or build hundreds of houses for families of policy beneficiaries.

Bac Lieu province has allocated 500,000 USD to local districts to distribute to 18,000 policy beneficiaries to mark Vietnam’s War Martyrs and Invalids Day.
