No Q&A at National Assembly plenary session in May

(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly Standing Committee on Friday decided not to hold the Q&A at the 9th plenary session of the 14th National Assembly, which is scheduled to open on May 20.

At a meeting of the Standing Committee, Secretary General of National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc said the session will last 17 and a half days and be divided into 2 phases: online meeting and off-line meeting.

The online meeting will last between 5-7 days with the Assembly delegations in 63 provinces and cities being connected with the National Assembly building in Hanoi. Deputies will discuss  a number of bills and decide important issues, including the European Union-Vietnam free trade agreement and solutions for easing the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic.

The second phase of the session will be held at the National Assembly building in Hanoi. High on the agenda will be socio-economic development, state budget, and national target program for socio-economic development of areas inhabited by ethnic groups.
