No quarantine on entry for foreign tourists to Vietnam: VNAT

(VOVWORLD) - International tourists to Vietnam don’t have to undergo a quarantine period on entry and join in a package tour program going to fixed destinations in five localities during the pilot period.

Nguyen Trung Khanh, General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, told a press conference on Friday that wearing masks is mandatory for international visitors to Vietnam. If they do not comply, they will be denied in line with Vietnam’s pandemic prevention and control regulations.

Mr. Khanh also informed of the Tourism Conference 2021 themed "Vietnam tourism – recovery and development" which will be held in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province, on saturday via direct and online formats. More than 300 representatives from localities and tourist companies will attend the Conference to discuss COVID-19 impacts on tourism, opportunities, challenges, and solutions to rapidly and sustainably recover tourism.
